Bakes & Kropp Selected for Kitchen Design at 45th Annual Kips Bay Show House

Bakes & Kropp is pleased to have been chosen as the 2017 Kitchen Designer for the internationally-recognized Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse.

The highly anticipated design event, hosted by New York’s premier youth organization, the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, is located at 125 East 65th Street in New York City’s iconic Lenox Hill neighborhood. It will open for public viewing for one month beginning on May 2nd.

Notified in early March by the 2017 Show House Committee, eighteen of the country’s leading interior designers were given just over six weeks to bring their assigned rooms to life. According to Robert Bakes, the kitchen design features modern silhouettes creatively finished in traditional farmhouse textures – An ode to the style euphoria that can exist between trends of new and times of old. In order to create a bit of intrigue, the kitchen’s pantry has a concealed entrance that blends seamlessly within the kitchen cabinetry. Show House visitors are encouraged to seek-and-find its hidden door.
