Market Day 2025: Designing for Luxury in 2025 and Beyond
Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting a dynamic and insightful panel, “Designing for Luxury in 2025 and Beyond,” as part of Market Day 2025 at our showroom in the A&D Building in New York City. The room was packed with industry professionals all eager to explore the future of luxury interiors.

Guests enjoyed light bites and refreshing rosé as they settled in for an hour of inspiring conversation led by some of the industry’s top voices. Moderated by Chandler Pibl, Interiors Market Editor & New York Digital Editor for Modern Luxury Interiors Magazine, the panel featured:
Bob Bakes, Co-founder and Head of Design, Bakes & Kropp Fine Cabinetry
Andrew Kline, Principal, Workshop/APD
John Meeks, Partner, Aman & Meeks
Together, the panelists tackled the evolving expectations of high-end clients, how to design with both functionality and longevity in mind, and the exciting innovations in materials and craftsmanship that are shaping tomorrow’s interiors.
The panel of designers shared insights about crafting luxury interiors.
An engaged audience snapped photos and participated in a Q&A.
A key highlight of the discussion was the exploration of technology in luxury design—not as an intrusive element, but as a tool for subtle enhancement. From smart appliances to integrated lighting and climate control, the consensus was clear: less is more. Clients today are favoring clean, refined aesthetics where tech works quietly behind the scenes, enhancing comfort without compromising elegance.
The audience was notably engaged, and the Q&A that followed sparked some fantastic dialogue around client education, sustainable sourcing, and personalization in design.
A crowd of industry professionals mingled and explored our NYC showroom.
Guests were welcomed with light bites and rosé for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Modern Luxury Interiors for their partnership in making this event possible, to our thoughtful and skillful moderator Chandler Pibl, and to our guest panelists Andrew Kline and John Meeks for sharing their expertise and vision. Thank you to the A&D Building for organizing and hosting Market Day, bringing together the design community for a day of inspiration and connection.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a vibrant conversation. Stay tuned for more events to come as we continue exploring what’s next in luxury living.
Thank you to all who joined us for a packed session on the future of luxury design with our co-founder, Bob Bakes!
