The dated kitchen posed challenges common to many New York City properties, including a lack of storage, the limitations of architectural obstacles, and immovable plumbing fixtures and gas lines.As a workaround, our Senior Designer Ellen Schott employed custom capabilities to transform the cramped space into a bright and open kitchen that prioritizes functionality.

The Bakes & Kropp team carefully considered the placement of each fitting and appliance, accommodating both the client's needs as well as the rigid regulations of NYC housing. To optimize storage space, we installed sleek floor-to-ceiling custom cabinets. Under-cabinet lighting adds an extra layer of functionality. In a hand-painted white finish, the cabinets balance rift-cut oak for a contemporary yet classic design with nickel accents and hardware for ornamental flair.
